Dear Campus Work Order Transactor,

As you may know, UCR’s planned financial systems upgrade is taking place in the coming month (learn about Impact23). With this comes the introduction of the new Work Order System, which will replace several existing systems at UCR and will be used to submit requests that cover the following areas:

  1. Web Recharge
  2. Mail Services
  3. Digital Services
  4. Receiving Services
  5. Media Recharge
  6. Communication Work Orders

To help you navigate the Work Order System interface and tools, ITS has published a Knowledge Base article that includes step-by-step guidance on how to access the Work Order System.

Important: When logging into the system, note that users who have access to the ServiceNow backend will be redirected to the general ServiceNow administrative homepage upon successful UCR authentication. To return to the Work Order System homepage, open a new browser tab and enter the Work Order System URL (workorders.ucr.edu). This step will not be required again once you’ve successfully logged into the ServiceNow system. Note that the workorders.ucr.edu system is scheduled to go live on July 5, 2023.

Please refer to the KB article for complete guidance on how to navigate the Work Order System homepage, submit requests, locate and process orders, use the administrator functions, and access the report Dashboards. You are encouraged to share the Work Order System KB article with your customers for awareness.
